A doctor is available at the Central Consulting Suites until 10.00pm each day by appointment

After 10.00pm a medical triage service is available who can provide appropriate advice. They may suggest going to the local hospital, waiting until the next day to see one of our doctors or they may if appropriate call out our on-call doctor. Fees are charged by the triage service and if a doctor is called out to attend a patient. The triage service advises the clinic if a patient has used the service and needs an urgent appointment the following day.

Staff Profile of the Month
John Turner (Business Manager) joined the Wonthaggi Medical Group as Business
Practice Manager in May 2003. John brings with him extensive
knowledge of the health and community development sector
with a Bachelor Degree in Social Work and a Master’s Degree
in Community Development. John has also held key positions
in major community developments organisations such as the
Mental Illness Fellowship and Central Gippsland Health.
With a background of working at a senior level in industry,
John has been motivated and inspired to learn more about,
and become more involved in, the health and community
development field through his interest in social policy and
a special interest in the disability sector. In addition to
his work at the Wonthaggi Medical Group, John also
volunteers his time to assist with the management of Rose
Lodge; a nursing home care facility based in Wonthaggi.
John lives in Inverloch with his wife and two very active
Jack Russells. In his spare time, John is a keen lawn bowls
player and can be found most weekends rolling a bowl or two
at the Inverloch Bowls Club. John is kept active through
regular walks along the beautiful Inverloch beach with his
dogs.
Doctor Profile of the Month
Dr Mark Golets was born in Ukraine where he did his medical
training and worked as a GP. Since moving to Australia he
has worked in the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Adelaide and
recently as a Senior Medical Officer at Monash Medical
Centre. Dr Golets medical interests include Womens Health.
He can also speak fluent Ukrainian, Russian and Polish.
Dr Golets future plan is to move to rural Victoria with his
wife Victoria and young daughter Christine. |
