Dr Peter Ward

General Practitioner, Male, MBBS

All consultations with me are privately billed, except for children still at school. All people entering my room will be required to wear a mask. If you have a condition that prevents you from wearing a mask, there are many other doctors within the practice who will be willing to accommodate your problems. If you have a respiratory infection, please note via the receptionist, who will arrange for an initial conversation via phone in your car in the back car park. I will then arrange an examination as appropriate. If you are uncomfortable with this, again, there are many other doctors. I’m quite old. I live locally with my wonderful wife, who is a local physiotherapist, and occasionally my two delightful kids, who are grown up. I’ve been working locally for nearly a third of a century, wow, and been a GP for even longer, oh my! I’ve been privileged to be a GP helping people through everything from coughs and colds, family upsets, broken bones, complex multisystem diseases, to terminal illnesses. I enjoy the variety of my profession and being allowed to glimpse the many personalities and lives of the people who trust me to help them. I have a keen interest in preventative medicine and quality of life across all ages. I love walking the local hills, swimming in the waves on a hot day, planting native trees and kitchen gardening, and am a keen reader, especially of history; the internet at times lures me into science, and I am a happily Facebook, Twitter, and Snapchat-free zone.
